My Love for Graphic Design
Earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Indiana University, one of my first jobs was with Proctor & Gamble, where I was introduced to the world of business graphics and using a computer to create presentation slides. This was an epiphany for me, and instilled in me a deep-seated belief that one day all graphics would be created using computers.
Business Presentations and Marketing Collateral
Since then I have worked almost exclusively creating business graphics for presentations and printed collateral for marketing communications. My experience with computer graphics evolved from dedicated slide-making systems like Autographix, to Mac and PC-based programs such as Aldus Persuasion FreeHand, Quark and Microsoft Office programs. When Adobe Creative Suite hit the scene, I mastered Illustrator and Photoshop.
Effective, Result-focused Presentations
My passion is helping companies convey a clear message about their products and services in a creative and impactful way. And that’s my specialty – taking raw data and concepts and creating simple and effective designs that deliver a compelling message. Bottom line – my designs excel in both form and function.
I begin with an initial consultation where I learn about your business, your goals and the key messages you want to communicate. If you don’t already have a presentation template, I can create a few options that reflect your company’s identity. Since PowerPoint and Keynote have limited image-creation abilities I use high-level design programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create compelling graphics. The end result is a presentation that communicates a clear, concise story that targets your audience. And, I can do all this quickly and cost effectively.
